Hazel Bercholz became a student of the Vidyadhara in 1970 while living in the Bay Area (California). She attended the 1973 Seminary and moved to Boulder in 1976, where she started teaching buddhadharma and Shambhala Training. After several moves, further teaching, and study with Thinley Norbu Rinpoche, she has returned to Boulder. She retired as art director of the family business, Shambhala Publications, 2 years ago.
