Wise Action is a series of conversations about how to act more effectively for the greater good, individually, interpersonally, in community, or in society.

These conversations draw on Trungpa Rinpoche’s Buddhispala teachings and pith instructions about engaging situations. From that, we start with the model that any action we take has a natural rhythm that calls for moving in turn (sometimes very rapidly, sometimes over years) through openness, active curiosity, coming to a decision, making a direct move, holding your seat and working with feedback, and moving on cleanly.

In these five sessions, we looked at and learn from our own experiences as illuminated by this model and by Rinpoche’s instructions, illuminated by perspectives from systems thinking, social innovation, military theory, and other disciplines.
